NEW YORK CITY (May 22, 2018) Hundreds of consumers packed Bloomingdale’s 59th Street
Seventh Floor to Register like a Royal at “We Said Yes!” a dynamic consumer experience
sponsored by Baccarat and The Bridal Council on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The experience
kicked off “Wedding Weekend” and coincided with The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and
Meghan Markle.
“The response to ‘We Said Yes!’ has been tremendous,” said CEO Baccarat North American
Jim Shreve. Baccarat. “We are proud to present an event that brought together engaged
couples with leading members of the wedding community — and we had a royally good time
with all the designers and experts.”
Baccarat, the event’s sponsor, presented a whimsical table called, “Who’s Invited to the Royal
Wedding?” It mirrored the personalities of well-known Brits, such as James Bond, Queen
Elizabeth and Elton John, as if they were there celebrating the big day at a gloriously set high
tea.

Guests took selfies in a British inspired photo booth and nibbled on biscuits while sipping tea
and mingling with designers Anne Barge, Ines Di Santo, Angel Sanchez and Margo LaFontaine
from Amsale. Michelle Rago spoke about the growing demand for destination weddings; Belle
Fleur New York’s Meredith Waga-Perez demonstrated how flowers enhance any event; The
Carlyle Hotel’s Yves Durif offered hair and beauty tips with Sisley-Paris and more.
Editors from Martha Stewart Weddings, C Weddings, Modern Luxury Weddings and AFAR
hosted panels on topics ranging from how to create a royal registry and the latest beauty and
style trends to planning the perfect wedding and honeymoon.
Post kick-off, couples were able to continue their registry at participating retailers, including
Bridal Reflections, Kleinfeld, Lovely Bride, Mark Ingram Atelier, Panache Bridal and Spina
Bride.
